The first part of the day launched research carried out by The Young Foundation looking at the success of our four job coaching programme and our bursary scheme.  The report looked at how the programme had helped young people work towards their career goals.  The full report can be found here.

We also launched the Employability Toolkit, which makes recommendations on best practices for helping homeless young people into work and education.  The toolkit can be accessed here.

The second half of the day focused on the launch of EYH’s new Employability Fund, which aims to get more young people into employment.

The event brought together national employers from a range of sectors such as Construction, Retail, Business Services, Tech and Finance, alongside employees from our member charities. The charities and businesses took part in workshops to learn from one another about how best to support young people into potential roles within businesses.

The workshops gave employers a chance to think about issues that young people may face, and allowed the charities to learn more about what employers want, and how they can further support their young people into employment.
