When Chloe found out she was pregnant, she was frightened. Without a partner for support, she felt alone in her pregnancy and fearful of where she and her new-born would live.

At the time, she lived with her mother in an overcrowded home and their relationship became increasingly strained. Chloe knew she needed a home for herself and her baby, but paying rent with her statutory maternity payments simply felt impossible.

The closer she got to her due date, the more anxious she became and the relationship with mum was near non-existent. She was very emotional and felt like she was failing as a mother before her baby had even arrived.

Luckily, she was referred to her local End Youth Homelessness charity, MACS in Northern Ireland. With the help of the End Youth Homelessness Housing Fund, they went straight to work finding her a home.

Chloe had her beautiful new baby on the 26th of November. She was discharged from hospital on the 28th, and the same day was given the keys to her new home. The Housing Fund had supported Chloe to achieve what she thought impossible and she moved in right away.

In her new home, Chloe has settled in and adjusted to life as a new mum incredibly. She’s so grateful for the support she received and we couldn’t be happier for her and her baby at End Youth Homelessness.
